I know it has been years since the change over from actual payouts at the slots to crediting the winnings back to your cruise card was done, but I wanted to see what fellow cruisers think. When I first began cruising back in 1990 on the Carnival Celebration, when I had a win at the slots, I LOVED the "clink-Clink-Clink" of the winnings falling into the tray. Now, at least on my last 3 or so cruises, you have to place your sail and sign card into the slot in the machine and any winnings can either be credited back to your cabin account or you can go to the cashier in the casino the last night of the cruise for payment. Prior to those cruises, we had a water jug we used to store all our change to use on the cruise in the slots on the ship. That jug is now filled with nothing but dust. I'm sure the change has something to do with the fact that the casinos onboard are owned by an outside company with some of the proceeds going to the cruise line. So what do YOU think?
