Slainte
As much as we love to cruise, we also do all-inclusive resorts quite often. Not that we're alcoholics, but when you add the bar tab to a week long cruise it seems the better deal is just flying to a resort. I was wondering are there any cruises out there which include drinking in the price?
KeithnRita
We have never done an all inclusive, mainly because we don't like to fly long distances. Maybe one day....
Searcher
Please let us know where you can get these "deals" on all inclusive vacations.
Slainte
We usually do a search through Travelocity or Orbitz and click on "Vacations". Enter your departure and destination, when all the choices come up look for "all-inclusive". Right now we are booked for five days at a three-star resort in Jamaica for about $1,000 per person~that includes airfare, transportation to & from airport, cottage on the beach, all meals (four resturants) all drinks~alcoholic and non (and I might add as much as you want!), non-motorized watersports i.e. sailing, snorkeling, etc., entertainment and lots more. One we went to last June included dry-cleaning & laundry service, manicures, watersking and lots more. And most do not allow tipping. About the only extras would be shopping and if you went off site of the resort.
cruisingfun
Hi: There are some all-inclusive cruises that will include your liquor and tipping. For example: Radisson/Seven Seas, Silversea or Seabourn. There may be others and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong. Occasionally the above lines have some good cruise bargains. Hope this helps. Terry
Slainte
Thanks cruisingfun, I will definetly look into those!
Lisa63
Sometimes, drinks will be included if the ship is on a charter. This was the case for us once, when a local travel agency chartered a ship for exclusive booking through them. We are not big drinkers, but it was still nice to sit in the show lounge and order a drink and not have to stop watching the show to sign a receipt. BridaBunny
We do not drink enough to warrant the extra expense. ;)
jbond
We spent a week at Sandals some years ago. We had a great time and enjoyed it, but it was not as good as cruising, IMNSHO. The food was good and the drinks were first class. It somehow lacked the "atmosphere". All inclusives have changed since we did ours, with more dining options and entertainment, so we may try again. One thing about the price, I've priced Sandals recently and they are as expensive as cruises IMO.
imosoreal
Alcohol can get expensive so on my cruise this time over the past two months I have ordered drink coupons, pre-paid for three bottles of dinner wine, ordered two bottles of champagne and I will be bringing onboard some Remy and Alize. Booze can be very expensive and this will be my first time trying this. I want to see how low I can keep my bar tab. We only drink alcohol during vacation. Our land vacations are not that expensive since we own two time shares and are exchange members.
