DaCruzNut
When you live in Kendall, Florida, and are employed on Miami Beach, the only way to drive to work is across the McArthur Causeway, which connects downtown Miami to SoBe, and runs parallel to the Port of Miami. MaArthur Causeway Every day, I would drive past the ships, all in a row. On the way home, I’d often see one, or two, sailing down Government Cut, so close you felt you could hop aboard, and out to sea…. Mondays and Fridays were busier, with several ships doing to 4/3. So, Monday morning, the most difficult of the week, I’d pass the ships and sigh…. Friday afternoons, as I passed, I just yearned to be on one of them. There was no question but that I would have to wind up on one of them, eventually, the only question was, “When?†The question was answered, fifty-five cruises ago, on September 16, 1989, when I sailed on the Holiday….. Guest
Hi!! My first cruise was in January, and the decision of not flying and settling in one place and to re-pack to go to another was getting tiresome. My friends of many years decided on a reunion cruise and most of us have not seen each other in 5-10 years. It was terrific because if you wanted to be on your own there are so many things you can do and as a group it so much fun. The best part was the sea--the sound, the motion,--- the mystery. And to agree with Rita--the best nights sleep ever!!! Thanks---Alice Underground

TheSkipper
Our first cruise was on April 10, 1983 aboard Carnival's Mardi Gras out of Miami. We were in Stateroom M-58. How's that for a memory! Actually I have kept a log of all of our 40 cruises. By the way our first cruise was a 7 day to the Western Caribbean. It was inspired by the Love Boat TV Series. iriscruiser
 Our first cruise will be 12/4/04 on jewel of the seas. The kids are finally teens and can fend on thier own so time for us to do something. We always wanted to cruise and never had the time. Have been on a couple of Hudson River cruises. Very small and short 4 hours long. Time now for the real thing. We are really excited. Anyone have any ideas out there to help us? All info appreciated. Thanks everyone. Pammie
My mom had taken many cruises and told us that we would enjoy doing one. So that is what got us started crusing. We heard her tell us how much she enjoyed it so we thought we would try it and thats how we got hooked. Joe & Pammie
