I wanted to celebrate my BIG 40 <] in style! So DW and I went on the SS Norway to the Caribbean. We had a great time and I sailed through my 40th, 50th and 60th with ease. Unfortunately, it took us a while to have the time and $$$ to cruise again. Now we're back on a two cruise a year schedule.

We always wanted to go to Alaska so when DH overheard someone at work talking about it he came home and said lets check into it. We went and I have to say it was our best cruise to date but our shortest. We love to go for atleast 14 days now and would not trade cruising for any other kind of vacation.

If anyone remembers my good friend that passed away in June from breast cancer it was she that forced Ken and I to go. She said "what do you have to lose if you don't like it you don't go again" Finally I said okay and we were hooked immediately...........

MY wife was searching for something to do in Florida. Or looking at an all inclusive. As we had a vacation coming up in November of 2003. Well I was sleeping and I remember her saying what about a cruise? I remember saying SURE but did not think that she would act upon it.

The next thing I knew we were booked on the Majesty of the Seas. And now just 3 years later. We are booked on the Majesty in just a few weeks and the Legend for our November vacation. And we have 6 in our pocket and 2 paid for coming up.

Wish we would have done this years ago.

Inherited my love of cruising from my parents who went every year when I was a teenager. I remember the Bon Voyage parties and walking around the ship before we had to get off and they sailed away. Once I graduated from high school I persuaded 2 friends to take a cruise and we all became hooked on cruising. It took a few years to convince hubby but he loves it just as much as I do now.

For us it was something new. The Tropicale left from Tampa so we didn't have to travel, sounded like an excellent idea, so we went for it. Then the bug hit and the rest is history!

We were going to spend a week in FL this past Feb and when I checked out the hotel prices in Miami I told me husband it would be cheaper to cruise than find a hotel. He wasn't too excited but loved it and has been gung-ho ever since :wink:

If ya really wanta know.....

Our first real cruise, (not the S.S.United States) I won on an 8 month sales contest. 5 day on the Carnival Ecstasy to Coz and Playa del Carmen. We were hooked. :grin:
