Lisa63
A few weeks ago, we had considered taking a short cruise on Carnival Fantasy during my husband's spring break to tide us over until our next cruise in August. Well, I found out yesterday that I need a dental procedure that will be fairly expensive, as our insurance company will cover just a small portion. It's not a serious procedure but putting it off could have serious consequences. So -- Fantasy will remain a fantasy for us for the time being. I'm not that sad, as we can easily substitute a getaway that's closer to home. Good health is more important.
Slainte
:( Sorry to hear you have to give up your "Fantasy" :( I know what you mean about the cost of dental procedures....I figure I have about 4 or 5 cruises in my mouth!! But, your be smiling :D on your next cruise! Good luck.
KeithnRita
You are exactly right. There will be many more opportunities for cruises!
Mebert
Hi Lisa63, I'm sorry to hear about your dental problems. I wish you a speedy recovery. It seems that many Cruise Crazies have much in common. We wanted to take the Carnival Fantasy to tie us over until August and we are sailing in the spring. What a coincidence. I hope you are able to go somewhere exciting and have a great time closer to home. As Cruise Crazies, we sometimes forget there are other things to do closer to home that can be very enjoyable. Have a good holiday.
GottaCruz
Lisa63, I'm sorry that you had to cancel your cruise :( but you're right, you're health is so much more important and you'll be cruising again before you know it. B) Your next cruise will be even more special to you now.

BoatrideLover
Sorry to hear about not being able to sail on the Fantasy, but you are to be commended for your fantastic, positive attitude!! There will be many opportunities to take another cruise. We've sailed on the Fantasy twice; when you do sail on her, you will love it!! Best of luck with the dental procedure and hope you have a great holiday season!!
Jason
Hi Lisa, Sorry to hear you will not be able to cruise on the Fantasy. You're right, your health is much more important. There will be plenty of other opportunities. I wish you a speedy recovery.
Lisa63
Thank you all. Believe it or not, the main reason I'm disappointed is that I was hoping to hook up with some Florida Crazies while we were down there. We'll just have to do it some other time -- it's not like this will be our only chance to cruise from Florida, lol.
GottaCruz
No it won't, Lisa, and I hope you'll let all of us Floridians know when you'll be here. That would be GREAT! :D :D :D
