DaCruzNut
A number of years ago, I sailed the Norwegian Crown, and the CD was Shannon McKee. Shannon is still with NCL, but I have heard that she works in the "Exec Office..." The ship was “small,†and held under 1,000 passengers. Shannon, and her staff, made it a point to mingle with the passengers, and make small talk. Around the pool at sail-away; visiting the lounges; walking the passageways; there they were. By the third day of the cruise, Shannon knew the first name of 80% of the passengers, and where most of them came from. Imagine participating in a pool game, or trivia, or, whatever, and, at the end, the Cruise Director, not asking you name, but saying, “And, this is Jeff, from Miami…†
Shari2
I really liked our CD on the inaugural cruise of the Zenith...I can't remember his name, though! He was pretty lively, and he interacted well with the passengers. My CD on my first and my last cruise stand out as well for different reasons. On my first cruise, on the Carnivale, I remember the CD(I can't remember his name) leaning over to tell me what the captain (the Captain spoke Italian) said when he shook my hand. He told me that the captain said what beautiful women there were on this cruise. I was much, much younger then(slimmer, too!) He probably said that to all the girls! lol On my last cruise, I met Ray Carr(the CD) at a party onboard the Infinity. I really liked him, and he also had some videos made of transiting the Panama Canal that were informative and funny. He did a great job on them!
