Favorite time of day...

I am fascinated by the sea, and love to stand, or sit, on deck and enjoy the view.

My favorite time of day, on deck, is sunset. There's just something magical about that time of day, to me. The Caribbean sky catches fire, with reds, yellows, pinks, oranges...some of the clouds so low that you feel you could reach up and touch them.

Of course, I love the sunrises, the hot afternoons by the pool, and watching the black sea, at night, also.

What's your favorite time to be on deck, and why?

Definitely sunsets. Rita and I took our first vacation together at Siesta Key and we fell in love with the sun melting into the sea. Watching it from a cruise ship is special!

I LOVE sunsets, and have tons of beautiful pictures in my house of sunsets and will do my best to always see a sunset if possible. HOWEVER, my favorite time of day on the deck of a cruise ship is very, very early in the morning. Every single day, when we are cruising, I am up and on deck no later than 6am. To begin with, I love to watch us pull into port so I'm always up to see that. But it is so quiet and so tranquil, and the morning skies are so beautiful; my husband and son always sleep through it and every time, I tell them what a beautiful sight they missed!
