DaCruzNut
OK, I know I joke around, and kid, a lot, but this is for real! Honest! It's so weird that even I couldn't have made it up! According to an article in the Business section of today's Miami Herald, Royal Caribbean plans to make Bayonne, New Jersey a future home port. Docking space has gotten very tight on New York's west side... so, Bayonne has instituted redevelopment of it's dock area. So far, the new terminal will be home to the Voyager of the Seas and the Nordic Empress.

cruisetarp
This seems like great news. Being from Staten Island I will have a 10 minute drive from my front door to the Voyager on 5/21/04. Not having to fight Manhattan traffic and all the other ships in port at the same time will be a real bonus. We are just waiting to hear about parking facilities, etc. For cruisers flying into the area Newark airport is one turnpike exit from the ship.
