Swimming in the winter???

Just curious if anyone knows, if the pools on the Carnival Ecstacy are heated? Also, for those that have done the winter baja cruise with them...how is the weather down while on the cruise? Is it swimming weather?

We have 3 kids, and woudl love to be able to entertain them with swimming, among other things...but are not sure about the weather.

It can be hit or miss, we cruised Mexico once in Jan and found the first two days not swimming weather, but as we got further south it definately warmed up. It will be warmer than 99 % of the states though, so enjoy the no winter coat weather regardless of whether its"HOT"! On the flip side you may be lucky and hit some hot weather, I have seen it very warm down there ( southern California) in the winter so as I said it will be hit or miss! Good luck!

If the pool is not warm enough, you'll see everyone in the jacuzzis, including the kids. Don't worry, though, the kids will have a blast either in the pools, jacuzzis or doing other activities.

I see your points.

I would imagine it wouldn't matter one way or the other...just one more (or less) thing that can be done on the ship..

And considering we really only have 1 day @ sea...there will be plenty to do regardless.
