The "winter" weather is cool. The Pacific is , IMNSHO, always cold, even in summer. The weather doesn't warm up until you get about Half way down Baja. Heading south is usually better than sailing north because of the wind across the deck.

Doesn't seem to affect kids however, our grandkids were swimming in Alaska!
