DaCruzNut
One of the marketing techniques used by cruise lines to increase the passenger count, during “slow†periods, is the “Theme Cruise,†or “Specialty Cruise.†Themes, such as, “Big Band;†“50’s-60’s;†“Gay-Lesbian;†“Singles;†“Historical;†and others, are touted for a specific voyage, hoping to attract a specific piece of the market. Do you have any ideas for “themes,†not presently being utilized? .............................................................................. One of my ideas is to take the "old" theme of "Toga Night," and have it serve as the theme for the full cruise. Passengers would take turns chained to oars, in the engine room, and row to the beat of the drum. Of course, since this would be new to the cruise, we would have to figure out how much to tip the "Beater." I'd guess $3.00 per day, per person. The production shows could include Gladiatorial contests, chariot races on Lido Deck, etc;
GottaCruz
:cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: Toga night sounds very, very interesting, Jeff. I think you just want to see Sophia in that toga. I could go for a country theme- I'd put on my boots, my fringed cowgirl shirt and hubby would wear his cowboy hat.

PEB
For myself a cruise related to model ship building or model railroading would be quite interesting. Perhaps a cruise just related to building models of all types. I know there are many people out there that build models of various types. I would also like a cruise that would have talks and film on the building of the ship that you were cruising on.
