What about a Crazies group cruise?

We have done five group cruises to date. Biggest group had 484 folks on board smallest was about 100. These were group cruises from another newsgroup. Served as Chairperson for the 2003 cruise. I think the simplier you keep it the better it will be. As ours grew it became more and more complicated with travel agents submitting bids etc.

Don't know Port Canaveral having never sailed from there. But for those of us who will have to fly in Ft. Lauderdale is a heck of a lot better than Miami for air fares and cabbing distance to the ships.

Don't think you should lock in with a TA at this point there are lots of them out there who do a good job. One thing that bugs me is when a TA does a group cruise and then books a competitive cruise against it the next year and uses the client list developed while doing the group cruise. Has happened elsewhere on the net.

I won't be able to go on the cruise due to the timing (husband and son are both in school), but I would certainly fly down to Florida for a pre-cruise get-together the day before.

Lisa..nothing is really set in stone yet....

Again i am basically throwing this out there.....any and all ideas are welcome. I am not trying to be anything special, just trying to create some interest. Seems like some can't make it due to others being in school. I know it is hard....but i guess that is the first obstacle. This might be a divided cruise....some without others in school and others that can go anytime. I would like to reiterate again...lol....if we could find a decent priced cruise when others are out of school i am all for it.....I really just want the most involvement from the most members...if at all Possible.

I do not wnt to divide the board in any way. i.e. I don't want anyone feeling bad.......oh that gogetter is such a control freak,...or they purposely picked the time that i couldn't go.....dang...it might even be a time i can't go......lol...lol...

Just trying to start some interest. I need a year in advance to be able to afford it...so whoever guides this......or whatever time we go....

So far i guess ..we have it narrowed down to Carnival or Celebrity.....

Time........October 2005...still iffy.....1st week in June would be good for me...my birthday is during that time...lol....you all could buy me drinks...no mickeys though....lol...lol... July 4th time frame....spring or fall breaks???...Anyone with others in school please feel free to post a good time or date.....after all...again.....we could have 2 group cruises...lol...

There are always going to be people who can't make it. Cruising during school breaks is more expensive, so I am not at all offended if another time is chosen.
