Shari2
Hi Alice! I was on the," Constitution," the ship that,"An Affair to Remember," was filmed on. Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr actually sat at a bar in the aft of the ship that had windows overlooking the pool deck. I may have sat on the very same bar stool that Cary Grant sat on! sigh!!! Guest
Hi Shari-----Speaking of Cary Grant---in the early 80's I was in a small Italian restaurant on East 52 street in Manhattan, and it was about 4:00 in the afternoon, and we were getting ready to leave after a late lunch. They were getting ready for the dinner crowd---arranging tables annd such, a man walks in the door and is escorted to a table. The person I was with recognized the man and said it was Dr. De Bakey( a famous heart surgeon). Getting ready to leave the table and make way to the door-- another man (silver hair---tan--dark framed glasses --tall and elegant walks in ) greeted by a waiter and escorted to the table. Yep--it was Mr. Grant and he looked our way and flashed the most brilliant smile--and went to his table. I think I was in shock and really could'nt believe it!!! But I will never forget it and whenever I see any of his movies today----I just smile back!!!!!!
