SAAdds1
Two weeks from today we will be on our first cruise (Carnival Miracle). The ship stops off in Freeport. I wondering what the prices will be for the shore excursions...just so I'm not shocked. I'm traveling with my husband and two teen-aged sons, so they don't want to shop. About the only thing that looks interesting is the Pirates of the Bahamas Picnic. Anyone have any idea what the price (ballpark figure is fine) will be, booking it through Carnival? GottaCruz
SAAdds1, I bumped this up so everyone will see it. I'm sure one of our knowledgeable members will respond. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with any of the tours. I'm just lucky I can get my hubby off his chair to get off the boat for a while. Anyway, SAAdds, I'm sure someone will have the info for you soon. Lisa63
Haven't been there myself, but it sounds like fun. Here are a couple of links I found. The first appears to be the Web site of the Pirate Beach, and the second seems to be affiliated with a tour group that might work with Carnival. From the second, it looks like $39 per person. Hopefully, someone who has experienced this tour can concur. http://www.piratebeach.net/ [url=http://www.templetontours.com/freeport_tours.html]http://www.templetontours.com/freeport_tours.html

SAAdds1
Lisa, thanks for the websites. At the Pirates of the Bahama site, it mentions calling for reservations and free transportation. I wonder if it would save some money trying to do this by ourselves instead of booking it on board. We're in Freeport for more than a day, so getting back to the ship on time would not be a problem. I would like to walk around Count Basie Square for a little bit. That's another reason why I wonder if I should try to do my own shore excursion.
