Wow Jeff!!! Great pics! The Regal reminds me a lot of the Rembrandt. I used to have an online photo gallery featuring a 2 day to nowhere (actually 1 1/4 day cruise to nowhere due to technical problems on the cruise before us) - but when I got rid of webtv, I lost it. I still have the prints somewhere in my photo drawer so maybe I can reproduce it. She was a great ship!

Lisa, how fortunate you were to sail on Rembrandt. The great thing about her is that she was only minimally modified over her 40-year career. They had to close in the grand staircase for SOLAS reasons and added a bar or two, but she was pretty original overall. The Empress has been modified considerably, but enough of her original features remain. I never had the pleasure to sail on Rembrandt (or, as she is known to many, SS Rotterdam), although I was able to make a pre-cruise visit back in the early 70s for a bon voyage party.

Hi Jeff,

Can't believe it, but we have been on every one of those ships!! Did you do the Sabitini's thing while aboard the Grand?? Fantastic! We enjoyed it enough to do it again on the Golden.

Have sailed on the Century three times. Our most recent we had a Sky Suite and took our twin grandsons from Kansas. They had never seen an ocean let alone a cruise ship! We had a great time just watching them discover cruising.
