michelleJ
My sister and I are going on our first cruise in May on Carnival Paradise and I have been spending 24/7 looking up things and I got the idea to start looking at a cruise I thought my husband would like . I found some great prices for a northbound and then a southbound Alaskan cruise and they were on the Mercury. I have not found much on this ship. Has anyone else sailed on her? Thanks for the help, Michelle
PEB
I did a 14 day sailing on the Mercury through the Panama Canal. It is a beautiful ship. We did find it a little confusing to get around with the layout it had but when you are on a cruise you have time to look around. The ship does have a vibration that will be felt when in the aft section of the ship. If the ship is moving it will be vibrating. It is just a mild vibration but you will feel it. The service is excellent and there are some really nice lounges onboard the ship. You would be able to find some very nice viewing area's for Alaska that are inside if you felt cold outside. They also do have a pool with a roof that closes in the back that I would assume would be in use while in Alaska.

KeithnRita
michelleJ, We sailed on the Mercury in the fall of '99--our first Western Caribbean cruise. It is a very nice ship and we would highly recommend it. The food, service, cabin amenities were all very good. Photo we took of the ship when we stopped at Key West: We also have cruised Alaska and we loved it!
