I'm sailing on HAL to Alaska and am interested in hearing about what sorts of spa things are available, prices and quality. Is it way more expensive for a hot stone massage on board? Should I have my monthly facial before I go or treat myself to one on board ship?

I find the massages are more expensive on the cruise but I get at least 2 when I cruise because it's my week to pamper myself! I get massages back home once in a great while. To give you an idea, here in New Hampshire a massage runs on the average of $60- $80 per hour (without tip). A massage onboard is $99.00 plus 15% tip. I don't get facials but I imagine the cost comparison would be about the same. Hope this helps!
