I know that on Carnival they have started a new disembarkation where if you choose to, you may carry off your luggage, and in turn be one of the first off the ship. We didn't do that because I think it would be difficult to carry off all that stuff....I always pack too much..LOL!

Sebbie, on our last cruise with Carnival in December, we wheeled our luggage right on to the ship. We had the suitcases on wheels and they just made it through the xray machines. We also did what Slainte said and wheeled them right to our car. That was great because we got off quickly and hubby was anxious to get to work on Monday morning. (We live 40 minutes from the port of Miami)

Not having to worry about when our luggage would be delievered to our cabin made the entire embarkation process so much more simple! Though waiting in the debarkation line or in the lounges with all of our luggage to be called to debark the ship was a slight pain, we were able to completely skip the process of trying to search for all the suitcases in the giant warehouse.
