Norwegian Cruise Line will deploy three ships in Hawaii sailing seven-, 10- and 11-day cruises out of Honolulu next year, the number three cruise company said Monday.

NCL said it will also put a fourth ship into Alaska cruises next year, three out of Seattle and one out of Vancouver, and add capacity from East Coast cities to the Caribbean as well.

"Homeland Cruising is a core business strategy for the company both today and as we plan for the future," said Colin Veitch, president and CEO. "Our aim is to be the leader in popular cruise destinations as Hawaii, Alaska's Inside Passage and Bermuda."

NCL's plans for Hawaii cruises next year:

-The Pride of Aloha will continue seven-day roundtrip inter-island cruises from Honolulu;

-The Norwegian Wind will continue 10- and 11-day cruises from Honolulu featuring a call in Fanning Island in the Republic of Kiribati.

-The Pride of America will go into service when it's ready. The new cruise ship sank at the dock at the shipyard in Bremerhaven, Germany, this winter. "Pride of America's new schedule will be announced in the near future," NCL said Monday.

NCL said it will not deploy a ship in Northern Europe for 2005, effectively ceding that market to Carnival for the time being.
