Vancouver cruise ship season

As every year, there was an article in the local papers about the first Alaska bound cruise ship in port here. The difference this year is that I'll be on one of them!

Having been a stranger in a strange place so many times, I always ask people that look like they're lost if I can help them. They're easy to spot, either with the map, the cruise ship bag, or because they're arguing about which way to go. The responses are either: a) blank stare (don't speak English, so try to find some bits of languages that we can piece together), b) not at all lost thank you, just looking at the map because my wife made me do it, c) where can we buy some booze, liquor laws being somewhat archaic here and the purchase of alcohol not at all easy, or d) bless you, we want to get to...
