The Nordic Empress will be undergoing extensive renovations to begin the 2004 Bermuda season. Once the renovations are completed, the ship will be officially renamed Empress of the Seas. Renovations include:

New Portofino specialty restaurant

Signature rock climbing wall

Enhancements to pool deck and shopping areas

Expanded spa and gym complex
