post cruise laziness

I've managed to do one load of laundry after returning from the cruise yesterday, but am still waiting for people to fetch me things and there doesn't seem to be anybody around willing to do that!

I find that, coming home from vacation, the most difficult thing to do is start thinking about planning meals. The meal I most enjoy having cooked for me is breakfast. Right now I'm missing not having a plate of eggs benedict placed in front of me.

When you return home from a cruise, what do you miss the most and what is the most difficult re-entry point into everyday life?

We miss our bed turned down, chocolates on our pillow, and our next day activities spelled out for us in the daily program! :cool: :cool:

I have a hard time not wanting to have an afternoon Pina Colada by the pool(just one :grin: )and then having my dinner made for me. It is definitely hard to come back to reality!

When I come home from a cruise, after I've stretched my stomach out , I keep eating and eating and that's when I start to gain weight because I'm not doing the exercise that I do when cruising, such as dancing, walking around and climbing the stairs. When I get home, I just feel pooped and lazy. It's very hard to get motivated to do that load of laundy and get to the supermarket. Yuck!!!

I agree about how hard it is to get motivated to do anything. It's 3 months shy of 3 years since we stepped off Carnival Victory, and I'm still lazy.

The Celebrity commercial about this being a temporary exile is right on the money. When we come back from a cruise and go to a restaurant, we get confused when we find the napkin on the table and not on our lap. :grin:
