Tamara
Now that I've been back for several days from my cruise to Alaska, I find that the memories are changing. I'm forgetting the bits that bugged me; lots of lineups, the annoying couple at the dinner table, etc. and am remembering all of the pleasant bits; coffee on the verandah on the morning, the more pleasant company at dinner, etc. I find this happens whenever I come home from a trip. The aggravating bits just fall away, maybe being taken out from time to time for a laugh, and I'm left with such a wonderful sense of having had another adventure, seeing new places and meeting people. Shari2
I think that that's just a wonderful human trait... that we can forget the bad things and remember the good. It helps us a lot with life and moving on. Regarding cruises, I had a very bad ending to my last one, but it's now over 1 1/2 years and I'm anxiously awaiting my next cruise. The good memories always will prevail!! Sometimes it just takes a little while for it to happen. Glad that you are having wonderful memories, Tamara! They are something to cherish! GottaCruz
Tamara, It's great that the good memories are the ones that are the lasting ones. It reminds me of giving birth. You forget the pain and just remember the happiness.
iriscruiser
That is so true. If we only remembered bad things we would never do anything again.LOL
