I read where people give little presents to the cabin stewads and stewardesses. I was just wondering if you ever did that, and if so, what did you give? We're leaving in a couple of weeks for our cruise and I would like to get something to give to them.

Many give phone cards, so they can call home. A nice gesture. I'd just as soon give them extra cash, so they can buy the right phone card, or something else if they don't happen to be in need of a phone card. They don't have a lot of personal space on the ship to keep a bunch of trinkets and momentos, so if you want to give them anything, space consideration should be kept in mind.

I give money......that's what they prefer. We also have brought along Hersheys chocolate bars and small packages of Oreos. The crew loves them!

To tell you the truth, it never occurred to me to bring along something for the stewards since we always give cash. I think it's a great idea to give them an additional little token. The phone cards or the oreos and chocolate are great ideas. Maybe also a little souvenir from wherever you live or a book or magazine. In another thread, someone mentioned they give paperbacks.All great ideas. :smiley:
