Hi all..

First time on a cruise and hopefully not our last. The wife and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary aboard the Dawn Pricess on a 10 day Caribbean cruise sailing out of Florida on the 24th of October. We were told by friends and family who've sailed before that the basic cabin would suffice and free upgrades are very common. Aside from the Princess website-style pictrues of this type of cabin, I can't seem to find any other picture anywhere.

Can anyone offer some sort of review of the Dawn Princess and pictures of the cabins or for that matter any type of feedback would be appreciated. BTW we're Canadians if that helps.

I cruised on the Dawn Princess in May in Alaska. We have been on the Dawn Princess for a total of 4 cruises and on its sister the Sun once. The Dawn is a beautiful ship. We had inside cabins on the Dawn and an outside on the Sun. The rooms are not very big however the way they are laid out and the way they utilize every available space for storage the rooms work out quite well. Seeing it will be your first cruise it is very unlikely that you will spend a lot of time in your room, so the room will work out for you as your friends have said.

The Dawn Princess has a very elegant but not flashy decor. The staff does a very good job onboard the Dawn Princess. Their are several different types on lounges onboard the Dawn Princess so chances are good you will find someplace that suits you. The pools are open 24 hours a day with fresh water. The promenade deck has a walk around deck that has 3 laps to equal 1 mile. There are very nice wooden lounge chairs on this deck also.

There is a basketball court on the upper deck aft.

I do have a review in the review section of this board from our Alaskan trip that may answer some of your questions. Again I cruised in Alaska so the port information will be of no help to you.
