Jason
Well, our cruise aboard the Carnival Fascination came to a conclusion this morning, as we debarked the ship at about 8:30 AM and were home 30 minutes later. A great time was had by all of us...as mom posted, the weather, food, and everything else was just perfect. It partly feels good to be home, but now that I'm back to reality and back in the real world again, I'd rather be back on the ship! I took lots and lots of pictures on the cruise, which I'll be posting as soon as I can within the next few days. Many of the pictures were taken at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, during the "Discover Atlantis" tour, which was great! The place was nothing short of amazing...from the architecture to the shark tanks to the resort as a whole. But I'll get into that in detail in my cruise review. The ship was great, and I think that the Fascination is now my favorite Fantasy-class ship, beating the Sensation, Paradise, and Imagination, which we have been on each one several times over the years. Since our last cruise in December aboard the Imagination, many positive changes have been made (though I'm not sure if these things have always been on the Fasincation or if they've been changed on all the Carnival ships since our December cruise), some very tiny things, while others were pretty significant. Stay tuned, and I'll be posting my cruise review with all the details!
gymbrat33
I'm glad that you had a wonderful time, but I'm sorry that you're back to reality. I'll be on the Imagination on 7/15 with my mother. This will be her first cruise. I've talked to her so muc about it and she's seen the pictures of my cruises that she decided to book one. DaCruzNut
I'm so glad you all had a great time! The Fascination is one of my favorites, and one of the few ships I've been on more than twice. I have to agree, with you, Atlantis was fantastic! I was lucky enough to see it on a "freebie." As beautiful as it was, however, I'm not sure it would be worth the $25.00 they usually charge.... GottaCruz
25 dollars???? Would you believe we paid 45 dollars per person??? We enjoyed it but I really feel we overpaid for this tour. The ferry ride was enjoyable but the walk from the ferry , uphill, to the hotel in the sun and heat was awful. In fact , one of the men on the tour just couldn't walk anymore and had to quit the tour. They could have at least given us cold drinks after we reached the hotel.
