iriscruiser
Just found out we will be doing at least 4 mini cruises when on vacation. Along with the maid of the mist in Niagara Falls, We will be stopping at Watkins Glen And cruising Lake Seneca on the StrollerIV. Also when in Lake George for the Minnie Ha Ha decided to go on up to Lake Champlain, see if we can spot Champ and will cruise the lake on the Spirit of Ethan Allen. Also might decide to cross the lake on the ferry, since this will be a motorcycle trip it ought to be intersting.
FrankiRN
Wow, sounds interesting. Have you been to these areas before?
iriscruiser
My husband has been to lake george as a child and I remember vaguely going to santas workshop as a young girl of 6 or 7. The kids are big enough to fend for themselves and it is now our time. I can't wait.
hazelson
Sounds interesting - combining cruising (mini or otherwise :o) ) and a road trip - the best of both worlds. Have a great time - TTFN Jennifer
DaCruzNut
Why not throw in the 1,000 Islands and make it 5! (Boldt Castle; Hart island; 1,000 Islands)
iriscruiser
Jeff, That is very interesting indeed. My love for castles makes me want to go, plus a cruise. WOW We are looking into weather we can fit this in from Lake Champlain. Let ya know what we decide. Thanks for the tip.
DaCruzNut
If you do decide to take in the 1,000 Islands, take the loner tour. Some are about 2 hours, and don't cover much... The longer ones allow about an hour on hart Island, and Boldt castle, giving you time to exlore. The "history" of the castle is very interesting, and sad. You'll also see the 'world's shortest international bridge," about 8 feet long, between two small islands, one in the U.S. and one in Canada!
