HOW ABOUT THIS ONE?

The Craven

Once aboard a cruiseship dear, while they pondered which way to steer,

we were weak and weary from many a quaint and curious volume of Corona beer!

While we nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,

As of someone gently rapping, rapping at our stateroom door.

" 'Tis just room service," I muttered, "tapping at our stateroom door;

bringing us more Coronas, and nothing more."

This poem was written by afew of us a couple of years ago. You must sing it to the song that Willie Nelson sang "To all the girls I've loved before"

Dedication to Ships:

To all the ships we've sailed before

Who've taken us from shore to shore

We're glad you came along

We dedicate this song

To all the ships we've sailed before

To all the friends I 've made on board

To all the moments never bored

I wish I would be there

I could if I would dare

To all the ships we've sailed before

To all the ports that we've been to

And all the onboard things we do

We're glad we did them all

We just can't wait to call

To book another cruise or two.

We haven't sailed enough you see

Way too much time ashore for me

Not enough vacation time

Too few dollars, cents, and dimes

It's back afloat we want to be

To all the food that was so good

And yes we tried to eat all we could

And now we have to pay

For all the weight displayed

To all the food that was so good!

And now its time to bid adieu

I wish I could spend more time with you

We've had the best of time

The memories are all mine

To share afew with all of you!!

Author's Charlene and others!! :wink:

Yes this is where I got my two lines of poem!!!!

A Cruise Poem

We've decided to go on a cruise,

I really have nothing to loose.

It's going to be so great!!

I just can't wait!!

To sail again, upon the sea;

A cruise ship's where I long to be.

This thread makes us think;

about being in the Caribbean with an umbrella drink!

I love so much, just being on the ship

I never hog chairs, and I always tip

I always look great on formal night

but the rest of the week I must look a fright!

Roses are red, violets are purple;

being on a cruise is sweeter than maple syrurple!

To all the ships we've sailed before

who've taken us from shore to shore.

We haven't sailed enough you see

Way too much time ashore for me.

I love the food on the ship

My outfit I hope that I can zip.

Cruise cuisine can expand your tastes,

Thank the Lord for elastic waists!

I must say that cruising's great

But it would be nothing without my mate.

And as I sit back in my chair

On the deck, I haven't a care...

Without the planning and anticipation

It would be just another vacation

Authored by many :smiley:

Thanks Keith or Rita -whoever did all that typing - for putting it all together - it reads pretty well don't you think? Do I feel a group "pulitzer prize for literature" coming on lol? As for a title - let's see - how about "The best things in life aren't free - they are actually pretty expensive" - lol. TTFN Jennifer
