rogue
Back in 1975, I took my 1st cruise on the Leonardo Da Vinci. I can't say that I remember too much from that cruise because I was much more of a partier then. The thing I do remember was that you could go up top and actually see the stars. There were not a million lights making it impossible to see the stars. I'm just wondering if anyone has been on a ship lately that doesn't have its upper decks rigged for daylight. TheSkipper
We have found that if you get above the "Pool Deck" level the lighting is much more subdued and you can enjoy the stars.
DaCruzNut
I love going up on deck, very late at night (or, actually, very early mrning) and looking up at the sky. By then, most of the ship's lights have been turned out, or down, and you can see a million points of light in the night sky....
Dan
I was always surprised at how dark it was outside on the ship at night. Like many, our first cruise came with some comparisons to "The Love Boat" TV show. I was actually disappointed that our ship wasn't all lit up like the one on the show. We had the big string of lights from bow to stern all lit up in port, and as soon we left port, they turned them off LOL
