When we go on a cruise, we usually don't think about the money until the bills come in. We never thought about a daily budget. If something feels too expensive, we won't do it. If the price seems OK, we'll consider it.

It really depends on where we are cruising. In September we will doing a "warm-up cruise" to the Mexican Rivera. Having been to these ports many, many times I don't expect we will be spending very much if anything on excursions, trinkets, etc. We also do not run up too much of a bar bill, so most likely our tips will be our biggest expense for that week.

However, when we do our 15 day roundtrip to Hawaii in December I expect we will spend quite a lot. Never been to many of the islands, so excursions are in order.

The same is true when we cruise in Europe, Greek Isles, etc. We always plan to spend much more on these cruises.

I guess our biggest expense is gambling. We usually book shore excursions prior to sailing or independently so those are usually paid for in advance or charged when we get to our tour.

If your asking about ports only a typical beach/shopping trip for us with taxi would be under $100.00.
