ellenbliz
Does anyone know about how smoking goes, especially on Holland America line. My husband will be unhappy if he cannot smoke easily. If not inside places alot, how about on deck and in rooms. Ellen

KeithnRita
Ellen, You can smoke in your own stateroom--we would suggest a verandah. Smoking is prohibitive in all dining rooms and showrooms. You can smoke in designated areas in most bars and the casino and outdoors one side of the ship is for smoking. TheSkipper
As an aside, smoking the the staterooms is the reason we always bring an very good air freshener with us when we cruise. Stewarts do a very good job of cleaning the staterooms, but sometimes there is still that lingering odor of the former occupants smoking. Just one of our little things that we take to make the cruise more enjoyable, kinda like a power strip and duct tape.
