I think all the cruise lines should just drop the pretense, tack the 10 bucks a day onto the price, and call it a service fee, instead of a tip/gratuity. Then we don't have to worry about it. How much of this actually filters down to the staff is questionable though, but you know that there is a chunk of people that will tip extra anyway, and those that skipped out on tipping before will now have paid it.
