Do you read books on cruising? I'm sure that if your reading this post, you have probably bought at least one cruising book. Personally, I have read quite a few. My favorite is "Cruise Control" by Pamela Kane. It is slightly dated, but all in all, very helpful. She is very funny, and quite informed. It's a very easy read. Another book that I enjoy is "The Esential Little Cruise Book" by Jim West. This book is also somewhat dated, but easy to read, and informative.

We also get travel books about the area we're cruising to so we can plan things that we want to do. When we went to Alaska, these books were a great help.

Which are your favorite cruise books?

I haven't really gotten into cruise books, but I have read cruise magazines for quite a few years. I have read, "Cruise Travel," magazine since around 1980, and I read,"Ocean and Cruise News." I used to read,"Porthole," but it seems to be a lot of advertisements these days. Cruise Travel has gotten smaller, and isn't quite what it used to be either, but it's still a good magazine. I do occasionally read a few travel books on areas we are going to.

I was always going to get the book, "Cruise Control," by Pam Kane, and never did. I should check into that one. Pam used to talk on this board, but we haven't heard from her for awhile. I hope she is well!
