rogue
Has anyone either had one or been on one? I have friends who are getting married next May, and want to get married in Jamaica. They have priced out one of the all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica, but I'm trying to convince them of the merits of a shipboard wedding. They have about 50 people already going to the wedding in Jamaica. I wonder if they get all of these people on a cruise, will they get free accomodations? Personally, I would rather cruise than do an all-inclusive in Jamaica. Howard
TheSkipper
On a group cruise a few years ago we had a wedding. Everyone in the group could board early and the wedding was in full Scottish Regalia including a piper. Took place prior to ship's departure. Yes, a group booking will earn free berths either at the rate of every 16th berth is free or if you really negoiate every 11th. Remember we are talking berths here not cabins. Any good travel agent can put this kind of thing together. We had over 400 people on the cruise I mentioned above. I am putting together a fund raiser for our church and negotiate a free berth after 10 berths booked. NO, I am not a travel agent. Just a cruise nut. Hope this helps. hazelson
Sort of the same topic - has anyone ever done a renewal of vows on a cruise? Thinking about it for our 10th anniversary. My dh says he's not sure weather or not he wants to sign on for another term - but I am a good cook - so I'm sure I'm stuck with him - lol.
