Cruise Seminar

Last night my husband and I attended a cruise seminar at the local AAA. The reps from Princess, Disney, Celebrity/RCCL, & Radisson were there. I won the GRAND PRIZE! Nope, not a free cuise :cry: But a nice gift basket.

I spoke with the RCCL rep regarding the new NO DISCOUNTING POLICY, which is supposed to put all TA's on the same playing field. She told me there is really no change because the agents are allowed to discount their commission by giving shipboard credits, excursions, gift cards, etc. instead of a lower price at the time of quote. So actually instead of getting a better deal up front you get it while on the cruise.

Sounds like an interesting meeting, paljoeysmom. Congratulations on winning the prize!! On the, "no discounting policy," I still would like to have the discount, "up front." :smiley:
