Port Canaveral hotel info

Since our cruise is now under 90 days away we thought it might be a good time to start looking for a hotel/motel on or near the space coast for the night of DEC 27. Any recommendations for a hotel would be greatly appreciated. It would be nice to find one that would let us leave our auto for the duration of our eleven day cruise, same as we did last year in Tampa. We would take the hotel shuttle to Port Canaveral, or if not available, a taxi. Same on our return.

We are having our traditional family get together on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day we usually have open house for family, neighbors, and friends. This year we are leaving early in the a.m. and driving to Lake City, FL and spending the night. The next day on the 26th we will continue on to Orlando to spend a couple days with Rita's son and his girlfriend before starting our cruise.

We stayed at the Comfort Suites and Inn about 2 miles from the Port. It is reasonably priced and they have a free shuttle (Art's Transportation) from the hotel to the pier. They shuttled us over to the Port about 11:30 which was perfect....also they let you leave your car there for duration of your cruise
