How far in advance do you get suitcases ready?

I pack the bathroom stuff about a month prior so I have plenty of time to get more if needed. The suitcases come out a few days before but I start trying on and organizing my dinner clothes a few weeks ahead.

I have this bizarre image of "sailingrose's" suitcase full of toiletpaper - with none left in the bathroom for a month - I guess I better lay off the egg nog lol. TTFN Jennifer

I pack the night before and continue the morning of my cruise since I live 30 minutes from the Port of Miami.

Jennifer- me thinks it is not so much the eggnog you should lay off, but maybe what your adding to it. LOL :grin:

Well! I never!!! Ok maybe once or twice :o) As of right now I'm sticking to my diet - no more eggnog - just the rum! Yum! Tis the season to be jolly so I will continue to fa la my la. ttfn Jennifer

April...have a great cruise! We are going two days early. That should give me time to quit walking around like a zombie and be ready to board the ship! lol

Hmmm...that eggnog with rum looks good! I must already be getting in the vacation frame of mind!!!

I've been packing since the day we booked our cruise, about 6 months from sailing. It started as a "pile", but that had to be contained, so I got out one suitcase...now it's 2 suitcases, a garment bag and a backpack. I'll have to unpack and iron things before we leave. lol

I have two cats and no cat proof room so I always pack the evening before a trip, but I do get my shi...oops I mean my stuff together over the week before. I put a sheet over the bed, pretending that this will prevent cat hair from getting into my suitcase, and lay out all my stuff. I edit a tiny bit as I'm putting it into the suitcase. Maybe I don't need three black sweaters, so I decide to leave one out, etc. I always pack with a list, as the one time I didn't I wound up with tops but no bottoms (and for all you naughty folks out there, means skirts and pants) and had to buy stuff.
