yo2kar
Carnival offers an insurance policy for $99.00 per person. Insuremytrip.com is considerably lower for two people. Any suggestions on who would be better to go with, coverage wise and for the money. This is our first cruise and are a little nervous about selecting the right policy. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Lisa63
Are you using a travel agent to book your cruise? If so, have him/her help you select the right policy for your needs. The choices are mind-boggling... I agree that it is usually a better deal to buy third-party insurance. For one thing, third-party insurance may (but not always) cover in the event of carrier default, whereas this is not covered by insurance issued through the cruise line. Cruise line insurance might also not cover pre-existing conditions, whereas third-party insurance may depending upon how soon after booking the cruise you buy the insurance. As there are so many questions to consider, I highly suggest you do not go it alone.
