rogue
We're going to be in Belize on our EOS cruise in April and we're thinking of doing the cave tubing excursion. The description says that you have to walk about 45 minutes with your tube through the rain forest to get to the site. If anyone has done it, please let me know if this description is accurate. Also, if the mosquitoes are very bad on this trip. We are also considering a river float excursion, which sounds lots less strenuous. Thanks. Howard
Dancer
We went cave tubing last year in Belize. I was concerned about the 45 minute hike in the heat, but it was pretty easy. 45 minutes included a lot of time stopping for guide to point out things. It was enough of a hike to make the water feel real nice, when we got in, but was not a problem. Pace was also rather moderate. At a steady walking rate, it would be a 20 minute hike. We really enjoyed cave tubing and I would recommend it.
