Jason
CLIA is establishing a Hall of Fame. CLIA-member agencies have been invited to nominate travel agents, cruise line executives and other industry figures. There will be three categories of inductees: cruise retailer, cruise line executive and at-large, covering areas such as shipbuilders, publishers, government officials and politicians. Additional cruise retailers and cruise line executives may also be inducted under this category. The things agents are being asked to consider when making a nomination are whether the nominee’s accomplishments created positive change for the cruise industry, whether the nominee can be considered a role model for others in the industry and whether the nominee has accomplished anything that makes him or her stand out from others in the field. Nominations will be reviewed by a committee comprised of members of CLIA’s Travel Agent Advisory Board and member-line executives. The final slate of nominations will then be ratified by the association’s Executive Committee.
