Hand Sanitizers

Another quick question. When we were on our RCCL cruise a couple of weeks ago, we noticed that there was not a hand sanitizer to be seen anywhere on the ship. Last year, on our Alaskan cruise on Princess, the dining staff was practically tackling you if you didn't use the hand sanitizers at the entrance to all of the dining venues. I was wondering how the other cruise lines are handling this these days.

Hi there! I know i'm new to the boards and have never been on a cruise, but i'm packing my own hand sanatizers that you can get at walmart or costco for pretty cheap. That way I will always have them on me....better safe than sorry!! :cheesy:

HAL had the automatic hand sanitizer on our last cruise on the Zaandam. Unfortunately they did don't enforce their use.

We would have brought our own sanitizers on the cruise, if we knew that there would not be any on board. You can't even buy any in the sundry shop on board.

I never saw a hand sanitizer on the Carnival Fascination a couple of months ago. :huh:

Texas Gal, good idea , I think I will bring my own next time. :cool:

I don't remember seeing any hand sanitizers on Carnival ships or on the Regal Empress. They might have been there but I carry a very small pocket size bottle of sanitizer and wash my hands frequently with soap and water when it's available.

NCL - hand sanitizers everywhere and the Crew encourages their use. :cool:

Celebrity - spotty, some hand sanitizers could use more. Example had them a least one entrance to restaurants but not all. :undecided:

None on the Carnival Paradise in february...I brought my own .

Sometimes RCI puts them out sometimes not. We always bring our own especially for use on the islands. They are out when illness is aboard the ship but I too wish it was mandatory to use them.

I always bring my own, also, but I probably don't really need to. I wash my hands so often that I have to pile on the hand lotion so they don't get raw. LOL
