Hi, we will be on St. Lucia on Dec. 9th aboard the Sea Princess and would like to see the famous "Pitons". What has been your experience with land or sea. The catamarans sound good. We like to book off the ship so if you have any info please pass it along and we will do the same.

Star Clipper is the cruise line, with three ships. The Royal Clipper is the flagship of their fleet. http://www.star-clippers.com/

We did not take the catamaran excursion, but we could see them sailing there when we sailed by on the Royal Clipper. My daughter honeymooned there and drove to see them.

When I visited St. Lucia, I signed up for the land-sea Shore Excursion. We went, by mini-bus, along the coast road. The bus stopped at the drive-in volcano, the sulphur springs, a waterfall that changed color, and a few other sights. We than had a delicious buffet lunch. After lunch, we boarded a catamaran for the return trip to the ship. They served rum punch on the catamaran. A stop, for a quick swim, and return to the shi. We got to see the Pitons from the land and the sea.
