Going a shore

Hello everyone,

I'm Kim, Husband and I are taking teenage girls on western carib. trip on carnival Miracle in july. We are looking at various excursions. Found some online at a lesser rate than the ones through the cruise line. With great joy jumped in and booked the tubing in Belize. Still need to book snorkel& stingray city in Caymen's and Beach prty in Costa Maya, now getting cold feet on not using cruise line any adivice on this? have a company I'm looking at but won't mention names until I'm comfortable its allowed.

I have also booked our next cruise on the Carnival Miracle for January 2006. I have never cruised Carnival - only Disney - I hope we like to Carnival as much as we liked the Disney.

It is just my husband and I sailing (no kids - yeah!) and we are planning on the golf excursions. Does anyone have any info on them?

Make sure you give us a detailed report of the Miracle - I have been having a very hard time finding out any info on this ship.

I will be checking out these boards more often now that I have another cruise date set and plans to make.

I would appreciate knowing which tour companies people use when not booking through the ship. If we have enough people giving each one a thumbs up then others can feel comfortable knowing they are not going to get a bad deal.

Is there a policy I am not aware of that prohibits listing the name of the company on this forum? I have been on other forums that feel free to list the web sites that they have found and served them well.

I have personally booked two excursions so far for Dec. 2005 and will list a review as soon as we get back.

In my opinion the ships excursions are more expensive because they are in the business of making money. I am not saying this is bad but for us that need to cut costs we would appreciate knowing where the deals are.
