glojo
I was just looking through my travel journal and I realized I had a big grin on my face....ahhhh memories! So how many of you keep a travel journal? This one has entires for: Vacation Spot, date of trip, how I(we) traveled. The Weather/Temperature was: Where I (we) stayed: Who I (we) traveled with: People I (we) met: Places I (we) visited: What I (we) enjoyed most: Most memorable event: Places to remember for next time (restaurants, special attractions, entertainment, etc.): Special Purchases: Notes: If you don't have a travel journal, I suggest you get one. The tough part is keeping it up and writing a few notes for the day. Upon looking at my journal, I found that there are a few missing days, and now I wonder what I did those days....I had fun that I know for sure! JoeyandDavid
I had never kept one before, I don’t know that I have that much discipline, however I do think its a great idea and will no doubt give one a shot on our Caribbean Cruise in Feb. Maybe you could give me some pointers on how to get started. Do you each day start with a blank template, or do your journals in a bound volume. Thanks What a nice idea ! Always<]
TheSkipper
Have kept one since we started cruising. To date we have documented all 44 of our adventures. Each day I spend a few minutes entering the days events, port of call, etc. Fantastic when you repeat a ship or destination to go back over the diary and both bring back memories and help build anticipation for our next adventure. Coming up next the River Duchess, a river cruise through Holland, Germany and Austria and you can bet our log book will get a good workout on that one. Mebert
I keep a journal so that I can give an accurate review about the various events that occur during the cruise. I find that if I don't log waiting time that I might exagerate the length of time or I may not remember all of the ports that I visited and what I did there. I usually jot down quick lines in my PDA. KeithnRita
We've never kept a journal. No paperwork allowed on our cruises! We have saved the daily programs on our last two in order to refresh our memory for our CruiseCrazies reviews. As we are getting older we may need to take some notes or make a journal, except we may forget where we put the darn thing!
Guest
I have kept a journal of all my cruises except for this last one. I'm really not sure why I didn't do it. They seem to be not as detailed as the first ones that I took, but I think it's because we've gone back to the same islands and you really can't say any more about them. hazelson
I always keep a notebook handy - with menopause mind it is a "must". It's nice to go over the notes and remember - sigh!!! TTFN Jennifer
BoatrideLover
I keep a written journal for each and every trip we take; whether it be a trip to the beach or on a cruise. I take just a few minutes every evening, when we are on vacation, to write down what we did that day. I keep a separate photo album for each vacation we take, and at the very back of the photo album, after the last picture, I put in the pages with my daily notes, so that I have a day-by-day account of what we did on the vacation. It is always wonderful to sit down and read them, too!!
TheSkipper
Keith and Rita: Would you believe we have all the daily newsletters for everyday of every one of our 44 cruises? Yep, sealed plastic bins full of them. Kinda fun to look back on once in awhile.
Shari2
Wow! I'm amazed at how organized you all are. The only cruise I even jotted down some notes was my last one. I'm trying to be more organized! I did save my dailys from all my cruises, though.
