RCI - Splendour of the Seas

going on this cruise in Dec. 5 with my 17 yr old son - first time cruisers and we are so excited - just wandered who's been on the ship lately and how was she? overall food, service, rooms etc. I take it the pools are not heated, so wondering how cold they will be in Dec.

also - will cozumel and costa maya be decent weather wise in December??

We have not been on this ship but did Costa Maya in Dec and it was 85-90 the first week in Dec. There is not much there but a beach and shopping area. They do a show in the afternoon around 2pm. I believe and that was good. Dancers with very colorful costumes. We got some great pixs.

It's been some time since we were on Splendour, but we loved the ship. Splendour and her sister ship Legend of the Seas, are our favourite class of ship.

The pools are heated, they pass the water through heat exchangers on the engines, kinda like the radiators on your car.
