How do you make your cabin feel like home?

I have to admit that I never think too much of home on vacation, because if I did; I would be homesick, so I just try to enjoy the vacation.

I bring my dh - when he starts to snore I know I have the right room :o) I also bring a little pillow - for curling up with. I use it on the plane and on the ship - sort of my "security blanket" but smaller lol. TTFN Jennifer

I try to pack our pillows and our blankie. I know, I know...my hubby thinks I'm nuts too.

Quick, funny, story: when my son graduated high school, we sent he and his buddy on a 5 day cruise to Mexico as a gift. My son called home about the third day of the trip and said the steward was reeeallly nice to them, but he had a problem. My son left his dirty underwear on the floor of the cabin, and the steward kept picking them up, folding them, and putting them back in his suitcase! He couldn't tell what was clean and which ones were dirty! LOL!

I guess this thread reminded me of that because my son said, "Mom, instead of YOU picking up after me, the steward is picking up after me...it's just like home!".

Put a good book on the nightstand together with my travel clock and glass case and I'm at home!

By the time Roe unpacks all of her stuff into the bathroom, I KNOW I'm at home!! :wink:

I bring one of those "hot oil" plug in air fresheners (same scent as I use @ home)
