mmrkt5
Need excursions for jamaica for about 30 people next may (2006). Last year did a bus tour and margaritaville and the local beach in montego bay. We will have about 20 just graduated seniors with us. Not interested in going to the falls from our stop in montego bay. Any ideas? Does anyone know of reputable group to book with? Cruise prices for excursions are just too high. DaCruzNut
One of my favorite things to do, in Jamaica, is to go river rafting on the Martha Brae or Rio Grande. You glide on a two-person raft, with your very own raft Captain, slowly through the forests and gardens. Check out: http://www.jamaicarafting.com/ There are a number of tour operators, but the ship shore excursion is usually the same price, and it;s easier. ...................................... If you're a Bob Marley fan, there's a great tour to Nine Mike, Marley's birthplace and final resting place. The tour bus holds 24 people, and that is the maximum amount they allow! The place never gets crowded. The bus has a dynamite sound system and they play Marley all the way to the site. On the way up, they stop at a beautiful lookout, in the Blue Mountains, for cold sodas, Red Stripe and Rum Punch (included in the fare). You're greeted at the gate by Rastas, who will be glad to sell you a bit of Ganja, to help you enjoy the tour. On the way back, you stop for patties (beef, chicken or veggie) and when you get back to town, you get lunch, jerk pork, chicken, peas & rice, etc;
