sunshineforblue
hey all...first post!! We are on the July 25th sailing of Fascination. It will be the first for both me and my boyfriend. I'm so excited!! Anyway, we will be arriving the day before the cruise and will fly into Miami around noon. We will be getting a shuttle to the Hyatt and then we have all evening to do what we want! Does anyone have any idea of what is around there to do or do we need to try to rent a car? Our ship doesn't sail out until 4pm, but I guess the check in time is 1:30, right? Any suggestions would be great !!![/b]

GottaCruz
Welcome aboard, sunshineforblue. It's great to see you posting . We've been on the Fascination many times. You will love it. We always board the ship about noon, before the lines get long. We then immediately head up to the Lido Deck for lunch and our cruise has begun. I can't help you with what to do near the hotel but I can answer any question you may have about the ship. You can also click on the yellow tab at the top of this page that says"Reviews" and you can read the reviews of the ship. Again,Welcome aboard, sunshineforblue, we hope to see you posting often and hope to get to know you.
sunshineforblue
THANK YOU FOR WELCOMING ME TO THIS GREAT PLACE. I HAVE READ ALL THE REVIEWS AND OF COURSE I CAN'T GET ENOUGH INFORMATION!! MY NEXT QUESTION IS THIS: THE SHIP IS SUPPOSE TO DOCK AT 7AM ON THE 29TH,AND OUR PLANE LEAVES FROM MIAMI AT 12....WILL WE HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO GET TO THAT FLIGHT? WE HAVE A SHUTTLE TO TAKE US TO THE AIRPORT. I AM SO EXCITED!! 13 DAYS AND COUNTING!!
GottaCruz
I'm really not sure about that, sunshineforblue. I don't know what time you get off the ship, since we always do the early debarkation. I would definitely inquire about that with your travel agent and again when you board the ship. If you're still concerned, you could do the early debarkation at 7:30AM. But to do this, you have to arrive in the lounge about 7:15 and you have to be able to take your luggage off the ship yourselves. If you do the early debarkation, you will receive , under your door, the last night, the info telling you the precise time to be in the lounge and which lounge. That is a good question, though, sunshineforblue, which I would inquire about. We always do the early debarkation because we live about 45 minutes from the port and I want to get daughter to school on time Monday morning and hubby wants to get to work. That's why I can't be sure about the answer to your question. I'm sure, though, that other CruiseCrazies members will be responding before long. DaCruzNut
Hi, sunshineforblue, and... .......................................................................................................... In your pre-cruise spare time, you might want to visit South Beach. It's a short taxi ride, across the McArthur Causeway, from downtown Miami, and the Port. Sit at a sidewalk cafe and people watch; it's a lot of fun. Plenty of clubs for dancing! Or, try Bayside Marketplace, right across from the Port. It's got restaurants, a food court, live entertainment and lots of shopping. There are a bunck of boutiques, and kiosks, with interestigniterms, plus a bunch of standard mall-type stores.
