Jason
Another cruise line will be adding Antigua to its list of destinations. Bryson's Shipping Manager Nathan Dundas and Patrick Ryan, also of Bryon's Shipping, returned to Antigua with the good news following meetings with the principals - Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. "We were invited up as agent of Royal Caribbean Cruises Lines as is customary each year to review our agency agreements and discuss pertinent matters affecting the principals' ships to Antigua," Dundas said. "It came as pleasant news when we were told that Antigua would receive an additional ship making at least 11 calls for the upcoming winter season November 2005 - April 2006. "The vessel will be a big boost for the Antigua stakeholders bringing over 2,000 passengers on her 11 night cruises starting out of San Juan, Puerto Rico," Dundas revealed. The cruise line executives indicated that the timing of the visit was perfect as they were at the time in the process of deciding the islands to be chosen for the itinerary. Dundas also credits the support of Minister of Tourism Harold Lovell who "assisted greatly." Source: Natlie S. Fleming, Antigua Sun
