Suzila
The tablemates post makes me wonder whether you enjoy a table for just you and your significant other, or a large table with people you don't know? I prefer a large table...even though I know we're taking our chances with whom we get seated. Both hubby and I enjoy meeting new people and talking about cruising. We are empty nesters now and have dinner together every night at home, and on a vacation it's nice to talk about something other than finances, or the kids, or work, etc. How about you? Bodger
Us too. We enjoy meetings people from different places and different backgrounds. My goodness, with a table for two we would have to talk to each other! Bodger

DaCruzNut
Always go for the big table. I have met a lot of very nice people over dinner. Out of 59 cruises, have only gotten "stuck once," and had no trouble having the maitre d' change my table. And, even if your tablemates aren't the greatest, it's only for a few meals. Nowadays, breakfast and lunch are usually open seating, and you're only with your assigned tablemates for dinner.
TheSkipper
We have always enjoyed the larger tables, just like the rest of you. We have a table for two at home most every night.
sewut51
We asked for a table for two on our first cruise ten years ago and got a table for four. Our last cruise we had a table for 10 and enjoyed it more. Our first cruise was for our 25th anniversary and today is our 35th!
